ARA Makes a Presentation to Government, Academia, and Industry at Argonne National Laboratory Electric Vehicle Battery Recycling Event

In late April ARA presented before the Argonne National Laboratory on the topic of "Replicating the Automotive Industry’s Successes in its Transition to Electrification".  The presentation was part of a ReCell Industry Collaboration Meeting hosted by Argonne.

In attendance were members of federal and state government, academics, and industry stakeholders who are involved in the reuse, repurposing, and recycling of electric vehicle batteries.  ARA's presentation focused on the need to replicate and build upon the existing successes in the automotive industry that have provided enormous economic and social benefits. These successes must be replicated and built upon in the automotive industry’s shift to electrification.  Predictability surrounding the condition of an electric vehicle’s battery pack throughout its entire service life is necessary for a successful transition to electric vehicles. Understanding the condition of the battery pack will also be necessary for automotive recyclers to decide what the highest and best use of the battery pack.
